We are very excited to have Kathy Aycock, local gardener and arts and crafts professional, to lead us in this make-your-own-vase workshop. All materials will be provided for just $20. See other info below.
Vase:
~ You can choose one of several options for your vase: (1) an orchid pot with a central drainage hole and four holes near the bottom for the orchid’s roots to grow out into the air, (2) a pot without holes to use as a small plant container, or (3) OR you can use the pot to hold a traditional votive candle or battery-powered candle.
~ The finish of your pot may be left natural concrete (rustic) or you can paint it however you like--at home the pot dries and cures.
This vase is made from three simple materials:
(1) Quikrete Vinyl Concrete Patcher and discards
(2) Two old terry cloth wash cloths
(3) One empty small aluminum cat food can
Kathy’s workshops are very popular and class size is limited, so call the greenhouse at 865-573-9591 to register as soon as possible to secure a spot. Also call us a call us if you would like more information about the workshop.
