Vegetable & Edible Gardening With John Tullock

  • Stanley's Greenhouse 3029 Davenport Rd Knoxville, TN, 37920 United States (map)

We are delighted to announce that Knox-area-based author, biologist, and plant expert John Tullock will be leading a seminar here at Stanley’s on the best practices for growing your own food.

John Tullock has written more than 15 how-to books and blogs regularly about food gardening and sustainable living at johntullock.blogspot.com. He is a self-employed sustainable technology consultant with clients in the United States and Italy. John is an avid gardener, and has literally “written the book” on the subject of food gardening with his four recent books: “Vegetable Gardening” (2015), “Seed to Supper” (2016), “Appalachian Cooking: New & Traditional Recipes” (2018), and “Grow Food at Home: Simple Methods for Small Spaces” (2020). In 2006, the American Horticultural Society honored his “Growing Hardy Orchids” with an AHS Book Award.

Join us on Saturday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m., and learn time-honored methods for growing vegetables, herbs, and other delicious edibles that you can grow yourself. If you are interested in buying one or more of John’s books, you can order them at Amazon or locally from Union Avenue Books at the following link:
