The East Tennessee Iris Society will conduct an iris rhizome sale in front of the greenhouse on Saturday, August 17, starting when we open at 9:00 a.m., and continuing until all rhizomes are sold. Iris Society members will be selling rhizomes that have performed best in their own gardens so you can choose between tried-and-true performers. ETIS members will only identify irises as repeat bloomers if they have proven to be reliable rebloomers in East Tennessee gardens.

Each year the society orders recently introduced iris varieties, and its members grow the new varieties in their gardens to determine suitability for our climate. For the sale, members will offer a broad assortment of rhizome colors and patterns, from subtle and elegant, to wild and striking.

ETIS members will be on hand conducting the sale and will be pleased to answer questions. Tip: it is a good idea to come early to ETIS rhizome sales since some of the more popular varieties sell out very quickly.
