Our Response to the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Outbreak

Friends and patrons of Stanley's Greenhouse: 

In response to the Covid-19 disease outbreak, we are adapting the way we do business as follows:

~ To comply with Knox County’s face covering mandate effective July 3, 2020, we require a face covering or mask over the nose and mouth for all customers 12 and over except for customers with medical conditions or disabilities which make wearing a face covering unsafe or not practicable. Knox County exempts people who have breathing difficulties, are deaf, or who are assisting people who are deaf, or for whom wearing a face mask makes it difficult for them to use their hearing aids. Fortunately many of our plant areas are open-air environments, however, we ask that our customers maintain a 6-feet distance (as suggested by our nation's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) from other customers and from our employees to minimize the likelihood of disease transmission.

~ We have both the entrance and exit doors now working and a fence between the two areas to limit exposure between customers coming in and customers who are leaving.

~ We have installed a plexiglass barrier between our customers and our cashiers at each of our two checkout registers.

~ We have added more signs encouraging our customers to the respect social distancing space of 6 feet between themselves and other customers and our staff.

~ We encourage our high-risk customers to come into the greenhouse in the mornings on weekdays when we are less busy and not on weekends when we are more busy.

~ We will deep clean high-traffic areas at the beginning and ending of each day.
